Parcels
The prepaid rates of postage on parcels are:-
3 lbs.
30 cents
Size.
7 lbs.
50 cents
11 lbs.

The maximum dimensions are
Length
Length and girth combined
3 feet 6 inches

For example, a parcel measuring 3 feet 6 inches in its longest dimension may measure as much as 2 feet 6 inches in girth, that is round its thickest part; or
A short parcel may be thicker; thus if it measures no more than 3 feet in length, it may measure as much as 3 feet in girth, that is round its thickest part.
Addressing.
The address should be written on the parcel itself, and not merely on a tie-on-label, which may become detached.
Declaration.
The contents of a parcel must be declared, and one Form A. must be completed by the sender at the time. of posting. The declaration form is required for Post Office record only and, the sender is not required to affix it to the parcel.
Registration.
A parcel cannot be registered, but, a receipt should be obtained by the sender at the time of posting.
Compensation.
The compensation payable for the loss of an unin sured parcel while in the custody of the Post Office is $15.00 (Hong Kong Currency).
Insurance.
The contents of a parcel may be insured up to the maximum of $3,000 (Hong Kong Currency) at the rate of 50 cents for every $300 or part thereof. The insur-
