Letters (except one for the addressee); arms and ammuni- tion, except by special authori- ty of the local government; grapes, unless accompanied by સ phylloxera certificate and subjected to examination by the Inspector of Agriculture cir arrival; oranges, potatoes, cot- ton seed, rags, shoddy, worn clothing and used bags, sacks, carpets, embroidery, raw opium, medicinal opium, mor- pline, heroine, cocaine and similar drugs are subject to certain restrictions; prepared Lopium is absolutely prohibited.

The service extends to Aleg, Boghé, Boutilimit, Kaědi, M'Bout, Mederdra, Moudjeria, Atar Chinguetti Selibaby, Kif- fa, Port Etienne, and Tidjikja. Parcels for other places may be accepted, but must be claimed at one of these Offices of which the name should appear in the address. All parcels are liable to charges for delivery. In- surance is confined to parcels for Boghé, Kaédi, and Port Etienne.

Letters Arms and ammuni- tion can only be imported by special permission of the local authorities.
