Radio-Telegrams.
228.-The Radio Telegraph Office, which is always open for the reception and transmission of Radio-telegrams, is situated on the ground floor of the P. & O. Building in Des Voeux Road Central.
229.-Radio Telegraph Services, providing cheap and efficient means of communication are maintained between Hong Kong and ships at
at sea, the American Continents, Europe, West Indies, Dutch Borneo, Dutch East Indies, Philippine Islands, Macao, Province of Yunnan, Canton, Swatow, Amoy, Kong- moon, Hoihow, Wuchow, Nanning, Luichow, Foochow etc.
230.-Deferred telegrams at half ordinary rates may, with certain excep- tions, be sent to offices in American Continents, Europe, Philippine Islands, West Indies, Dutch East Indies, Dutch Borneo etc.
231.---Night Letter Telegrams are accepted subject to the following condi-
tions :
1. Minimum delay in delivery, 24 hours.
2. Messages must be written in plain English or plain Spanish. Code addresses may be used. Groups of figures, trade marks, trade terms and trade expressions must be expanded by qualifying words so that messages will offer an intelligible sense to ANYONE reading them. 3. Each message must bear the indication NLT as part of the address. The indication is counted and charged for as one word. No limit on the number of words a message may contain.
232.--Radio-telegrams for ships at sea are accepted subject to the Service Regulations appended to the International Radio Telegraph Convention of London 1912, and radio-telegrams for delivery in the places named in paragraph 229 are accepted in accordance with the provisions of the International Telegraph Convention Revision of Paris (1925).
233.-Enquiries concerning radio-telegrams or the radio-telegraph services should be made at the Radio Telegraph Office.
234.-Full particulars of charges may be obtained on application to the Radio Counter of the Radio Telegraph Office.
235.-In order to facilitate delivery of radio-telegrams and to avoid delays. all code or telegraphic addresses should be registered at the Radio Telegraph Office. There is no charge for registration.
236. The address of radio-telegrams to ships at sea should be as complete as possible. It must contain the following particulars:-
(a) Name of addressee, with any further particulars that the sender
may consider necessary for identification of the addressee,
(b) Name of the Coast Station as it appears in the Official List of wireless telegraph station, e.g., "Cape D'Aguilar"-charged for as one word.
