Basketball-Addi Cup
119. The first Addi Cup competition was held in the summer of 1972 and 8 teams took part in this Inter-Section Basketball event. The Cup was won by Registration and Parcels team, with Mails Branch (Hong Kong) as runners-up.
Crook Cup Swimming Competition
120. This Competition was held again in the autumn of 1972 after a lapse of a year. The Cup was won by Mails Branch (Kowloon). The Registration and Parcels Section were the runners-up.
CONCLUSION
121. I should like to congratulate the staff of the Department on the success of their efforts over the past year towards the achievement of higher standards of efficiency. I thank them sincerely for their loyalty and co-operation in providing the people of Hong Kong with a postal service which, I believe, despite some acknowledged faults, can be rated highly by comparison with any in the world today.
