the year we also suffered from a not inconsiderable turnover in staff as more attractive openings became available in other departments, or the work proved too arduous for others. Both senior and junior staff had to perform long hours of duty at many periods during the year and for their loyalty and uncomplaining approach to whatever task was set them I am deeply grateful.
