29. By arrangement with the Department of Commerce & Industry, al! Import and Export Declarations in respect of wireless apparatus were examined in this Branch before such goods were permitted to enter or leave the Colony.

32. The former Programme Secretary, Mr. D. K. Hardy, left Hong Kong on 5th May, 1950. His successor, Mr. Curtis Hindson, arrived on 4th August. In the interim, the post was filled by Mr. E. O'Neil Shaw. The Engineer-in-charge, (Broadcasting) Mr. W. A. M. Ramsbotham, left the Colony on 11th August and he was replaced by Mr. A. T. B. Bardens.
