中期股息每股八仙已於一九九七年十月七日派出, 現董事會建議派發末期股息每股二角九仙給予一九
九八年四月二十三日記錄冊上之股東。
Financial results and dividends
The results of the Group for the year ended 31 December
1997 and the state of affairs of the Company and of the Group
at that date are set out in the accounts on pages 32 to 61.
An interim dividend of 8 cents per share was paid on 7
October 1997. The directors now recommend a final dividend
of 29 cents per share to shareholders on record on 23 April
1998.
慈善捐款
本年度集團捐出之慈善捐款額為港幣72,590元
(一九九六年:港幣21,240元)。

Charitable donations
The Group's charitable donations paid during the year
amounted to HK$72,590 (1996: HK$21,240).
