1. From the Hong Kong angle, we would welcome Chinese accession to this treaty. The nature of the Chinese reservations may be of value to the Hong Kong Government in assessing the attitude of the Chinese to our proposed Mutual Legal Assurance arrangements for Hong Kong. Do you or
