CONTRACT FINANCE/TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND JOINT VENTURE FOR SEASTATE SEAFOODS CO LTD
His Excellency The British High Commissioner has directed me to thank you for your letter of 6 December 1982 kindly briefing us on your negotiations with Mr James Lee, Director of the World Industrial Development Corporation of Hong Kong and seeking our advice on the status and ability of the company to fulfil its obligations under the contract proposed with Seastate Seafoods Limited.
We are most interested in the plans you have for developing fisheries in Cross River State and would normally be glad to assist you but regret that we have no information on the World Industrial Development Corporation that we can provide from our local
resources.
Since the company was originally registered in the United States of America, that country's Embassy may be able to help you. The address to write to is: Embassy of the United States of America, 2 Eleke Crescent, Victoria Island, Lagos. You may also wish to write to the Executive Director of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Connaught Centre, 3rd Floor, Connaught Road Central, Hong Kong. The Council is responsible for assisting and promoting the development of Hong Kong's overseas trade. In addition, I would suggest that Beastate Seafoods Ltd's bankers be requested to make enquiries through normal commercial banking channels.
The High Commissioner has asked me to say that he wishes you every success with the new project and will watch with interest the progress of this important development.
