CZECH CONSULATE GENERAL IN HONG KONG
1.
We have been asked by the Czech Embassy here if we could arrange for a meeting in Hong Kong for a Mr Husner to discuss the possible purchase of a Lease, in order to provide premises for Czech Consulate in Hong Kong. Mr Husner will be in Hong Kong later this week with a Trade and Industry delegation and would be available for a meeting either on the afternoon of 3 November or in the morning of 4 November. The Embassy apologised for the short notice.
2. We understand that when the Czech Foreign Minister visited Hong Kong in June, Mr Martin Povejsil, Director General of the Latin American and Asian Section of the Czech MFA, had a preliminary discussion about setting up a consulate with Mr Warrington. We have therefore suggested that Mr Husner should contact Protocol Division on his arrival in Hong Kong, to arrange a follow up meeting with Mr Warrington, who would be best placed to advise him on the next step. We have given the Embassy Mr Warrington's telephone number to pass on to Prague.
