The Government of Hong Kong recognizes the laissez-passer issued by the European Communities officials of its institutions on official business

Members of the staff of the office may be called upon to attend as witnesses in the course of judicial

administrative proceedings. Subject to the laws of Hong Kong, members of the staff of the office are not obliged to give evidence concerning matters connected

with the exercise of their official functions, nor to

disclose matters of confidentiality.

In the event of the death of a member of the staff of the Office, other than those permanently resident in Hong Kong, or a member of his or her family forming part of his or her household, the Hong Kong Government shall permit the withdrawal of the movable property of the deceased, with the exception of any property the export of which was prohibited at the time of his or

her death.
