We spoke earlier .
1.Accompanied by Martin Healey [TSD resident engineer ], I surveyed the site on 01.11.92.
2. From about the centre of the site the Indian Ocean satellite was visible. The Pacific Ocean satellite could be just about seen above a ridge to the SE.
3. Swires instructed our consulting engineers [ Ove Arup ] to carry out a survey.An initial rough survey was carried out on 30.07.93 and it confirmed my findings.
4. Now the site has been cleared, a more precise survey can be carried out. This will probably take place in the next few weeks.
5. However, it is quite possible that a high rise building could be built on our line of sight at some time in the future. We have no control over that! Nonetheless, I understand from Security Department that there is no reason why a satellite dish should not be sited remotely [the top of Swire's offices in Pacific Place say].
