Summary

2.

A useful but hectic visit - an extra day would have been helpful particularly as Mr Reading (British Council) was a date late in arriving due to ill health. However we achieved our objectives: the main issues are summarised as follows:-

(a)

(b)

(c)

Various amendments to the PSDs have been made and agreed resulting in draft Final Sketch Design which Farrell will now progress to Final Sketch. design stage (paras 5, 8 and 12).

Access for a fire-tender to the furtherest point of the British Council building from the road may be necessary at an estimated cost of £200,000, which will take a large slice out of the design contingency for the project, if the British Council need a licence as a school under the HK Education Ordinances (para 7).

Final Sketch Designs and FSD report should be available by end of April 93. Formal

presentations of FSD, including to the Governor will be required (paras 8 and 14).
