You have been kind enough to draw my attention to the situation of Mr Rais Bin SANIMAN and to suggest that some of your colleagues might come to Paris to exchange views on this matter.
I fully realise the importance for your government of this case, to which I am devoting my attention.
As regards the very specific deadlines set by the Conseil d'Etat, which is currently investigating the case, my department has recently submitted fresh observations to that high court.
I am most willing to give my agreement for the lawyers whom you would like to send to Paris to be received at the Ministry of Justice and to hold conversations with their opposite numbers. Full instructions will be given to keep me closely informed of the content of such joint reflections.
