The French Minister of Justice told the Solicitor General in Paris on 22 July that he would look into the Saniman case with an open mind and urgently, and promised a decision before 10 September. The Ministry of Justice have not contacted us or our French lawyers with any news.

When we asked when we were likely to be informed of the French decision, our Quai and Ministry of Justice contacts told us the final decision had not yet been taken, but that they hoped to give us a definitive response before the end of the month. would not be drawn on which way Mehaignerie would go.
