letters signed by the Ambassador requesting Mme Masse-Dessen to undertake certain tasks on our behalf. third point on page 3 is the Knub of the legal argument: does or does not a government have the right to appeal to the Conseil d'Etat in an extradition case where the decision of the French Government has gone against it. It is unsurprising that the Ministry of Justice has argued that we do not have this right. Mme Masse-Dessen then went through Part II of the mémoire where I am afraid she lost me in a jumble of legal terminology. But her conclusion was that although there were points of law to be answered here, the mémoire contained no more than she had expected.
