We are, as you suggest, hoping to persuade the Schengen Convention countries to allow Hong Kong visa-free entry. The British Government is helping to lobby hard for us.
The Acting Political Adviser is calling in the Consuls-General of all nine countries and, together with him, we shall be trying to persuade them to maintain and extend our visa-free access.
We will be fighting for both BDTC and 3N(0)s, We don't think that singling out BN(0)s would be helpful at this stage.
