French took over Presidency on 1 July 1993, and will retain it for six months. Thereafter Germans are probable successors.

The Schengen
No evidence of knock on effect elsewhere. CVL is peculiar to Schengen states (EC CVL similarly is for European partners only). No reason to believe that other countries will become aware of HKs addition to CVL unless undue attention is drawn to it.
