Proposed amendment
The Hong Kong (British Nationality) (Amendment)
Order 1993 which came into force on 21 July
1993 amends the provisions of the Hong Kong
(British Nationality) Order 1986.
Under
Article 4(2) of the Hong Kong (British
Nationality) Order 1986, Hong Kong British
Dependent Territories citizens who wish to
retain British nationality after 30 June 1997
must apply for registration as British
Nationals (Overseas) on ΟΙ before the final
dates relevant to their age groups as specified
in the Second Schedule to that Order which is
reproduced below:
