Appendix 27
Add
new paragraph 17 to Appendix 27 as
follows:
"LATE APPLICATIONS FOR BN (0) REGISTRATION
Under Article 4(4) of the Hong Kong (British
Nationality) Order 1986, an
application for
registration
as BN(0) made after the relevant
final date may be accepted if the applicant can
show that there are special
circumstances
justifying his being so registered and provide
documentary evidence.
which provides
A special circumstance may be taken as one
good reason for the
applicant's failure in applying in time. The
following special circumstances in respect of
late applicants are normally considered as
acceptable reasons justifying acceptance of
the applications :
(a) Overseas travels on or immediately before
their respective cut-off dates;
