Proposed amendment
An application submitted after the relevant
final date (i.e. late application) should be
supported by written reasons explaining why the
application has been made after the final date
or whether there are any special circumstances
would justify late registration.
Documentary evidence in support of the reasons
which
should also be enclosed.
Any Hong Kong British Dependent Territories
citizen who does not obtain a British National
(Overseas) passport and would otherwise become
stateless on 1 July 1997 will automatically
become a British Overseas citizen.'
