Definition of 'Hong Kong Permanent Resident'

Annex A
Any person who is wholly or partly of Chinese race and has
at any time been ordinarily resident in Hong Kong for a continuous period of not less than 7 years.

Any person who citizen and who -
is a
British
(a)
Dependent Territories

belongs to a class OF description of persons specified in Article 2 of the Hong Kong (British Nationality) Order 1986 (I..N. 233 of 1986) * having a connection with Hong Kong; or
a
(b)
is such connection Territories

citizen by virtue of his having a with any of the British Dependent
(other than Hong Kong) mentioned in to the Brit ish Nationality Act 1981 (1981 c.61 U.K.) and has at any time been married to a person specified in subparagraph (a).
Any person who is સ Commonwealth citizen and who immediately before 1 January 1983 had the right to land in Hong Kong by virtue of section 8(1)(a) as then in force**.
