1. Mr Goodlad has seen you minute of 17 June on this subject and Mr Hum's manuscript comments. The Minister has commented that he agrees with Mr Hum's comment. Should we not have the situation clarified now?

From my telephone conversation with you today, I understand that the Home Office are siezed of this requirement and will give us the official line shortly. Mr Goodlad would be interested to see this when it issues.
