1. How best to handle the visit of the LegCo Delegation
lobbying on nationality matters.

Recommendation
2. (i) That Mr Goodlad should write again to Mr Wardle to underline the importance we attach to the new Home Secretary receiving the LegCo Delegation if at all possible.
(ii) That Mr Goodlad also press the Home Office to examine the possible administrative options on the BNO programme which Mr Goodlad brought to Mr Wardle's attention last month (Mr
Goodlad's letter of 21 May).
(iii) That Mr Goodlad should write to the parliamentary contacts the delegation plans to see, enclosing appropriate background on the two issues we expect them to raise.
3. I submit a draft letter from Mr Goodlad to Mr Wardle
and a "Dear Colleague" letter covering appropriate briefing.
