Legislative Timetable for Order-in-Council
At my meeting on Thursday, 6 May with the Nationality Sub-Committee, I was asked to let Members know the timetable for the Order-in-Council.
•
We have consulted London on the legislative timetable; there are still some minor technical details to be fanalized and, therefore, a fira timetable is not yet available However, I understand that the outstanding points will be resolved within the next few days, and the draft Order in Council then will be laid before Parliament. Thereafter, parliamentary scrutiny should take about six weeks.
