We expect that many will apply close to the deadline as we have no phased programme for these applications and will not launch high-profile publicity. Given that the applications need 6 months for processing and successful applicants may apply for a BN (0) passport within the three months after his naturalisation/registracion, we will only have 6 months for processing the passport applications of those whose cases come in on the last day. We are not confident of having the capacity to handle all cases if we push the deadline to a later date.
