The passport forms and information leaflets in now were cleared by you prior to their introduction in 1987 vide your telno 989 and 2010 of April 1987 and 4 October 1989 respectively.
As we near 1997 they are all the more your subject. I would be grateful therefore if you would give your clearance for the changes suggested. We need about four to five months to reprint these forms, so it would be very helpful to us if you could let us have your comments and clearance in two weeks' time. You would presumably need to adopt similar revisions to the forms used in the UK and overseas if you agree.
I have received your letter on nationality issues. Thank you for the notes of the meeting by LegCo members with Mr Wardle. We are all looking forward to meeting you in March and are prepared to make necessary arrangements once you have possible dates for us.
