BDTC & BN (0)
Passports
A mandatory phased programme for
the exchange of BDTC passports
for BN (0) passports has been
proposed.
BDTC passports are valid up to
30 June 1997 and early
replacement of passports could be encouraged through a scale of fees, with very high fees being charged on last minute applicants.
The phased programme is a necessary operational measure. This is not a nationality issue. No nationality rights will be
taken away.
After the conversion
exercise, existing BDTCs will have
both BDTC status and BN (0) status
up to 30 June 1997.
