8. The cost-free Private Treaty Grant of the Colvin House site was completed in April 1993. Terry Farrell and Co's
design for the new building to house the Consulate-General, British Council and 7 staff flats after 1997 is nearing completion and the user requirements are now effectively frozen. It is hoped that the local British Chamber
of Commerce will also be accommodated. The work is being project managed locally by Sire Properties Projects Ltd with consultants currently working on the details design. The total estimated cost is in the order of £29 million (at current prices). Treasury approval has been secured for the
