WHIT RECESS: MR GOODLAD'S VISIT TO HONG KONG
1. You will have seen the Private Secretary's response of 24 March to my submission of 22 March giving the Secretary of State's agreement for Mr Goodlad to visit Hong Kong during the Whit Recess. As we agreed, I should be grateful if you would now propose this visit formally to Hong Kong, sounding them out on the outline programme contained in my earlier submission.
Mr Goodlad would be grateful if you would accompany him on this visit: I understand that you have Mr Hum's approval to do so.
