Mr. Alasdair Sinclair

Alasdair
Dear Mr. Sinclair:
Thank you for your letter of June 10 in which your Government proposed a one-year extension of the Agreement between the United States and Hong Kong concerning the Confiscation and Forfeiture of the Proceeds and Instrumentalities of Drug Trafficking. After the appropriate Washington agencies, I am very consulting with pleased that my Government, noting that the Agreement has been beneficial to both parties, fully supports its extension through a binding exchange of diplomatic notes.
Attached is my Government's diplomatic note proposing that the Agreement be extended for a one-year period from January 18, 1994 to January 18, 1995. If your Government agrees with this proposal, this note and your Government's reply shall constitute an Agreement between our two Governments and shall enter into force on the date of the note from the Government of Hong Kong.
