Application for a petty patent

This clause will provide that application may be made to the Registrar under this Part for the grant of a petty patent and that such application may be filed by any natural or legal
person.
Right to a petty patent
This clause will provide that Clause 72 of Part X of the proposed Patents Bill, which is to be based on EPC Article 60, dealing with the right to obtain a patent will apply to a petty patent application made under this Part.

Right of the inventor to be mentioned

This clause will provide that the inventor shall have the right to be mentioned as such before the registry.
Patentable inventions under this Part
This clause will provide that Clauses 66 to 69 of Part X of the proposed Patents Bill, which is to be based on EPC Articles 52 tp 57 dealing with patentable inventions will apply to a petty patent application made under this Part.
87.
Term of a petty patent
(1)
The term of a petty patent shall be six years from the date of filing the petty patent application and shall take effect from the date of publication of the grant of the petty patent.
