Information about requests to record and HK patents and inspection of documents
This clause will contain provisions based on the 1977 Act s. 118 suitably adapted to take note of any specific requirements in Hong Kong, to require the Registrar to make available on request, after publication, documents to be specified in the Rules, for inspection.
Service by post or by other means
This clause will contain provisions based on the 1977 Act s. 119, suitably adapted to take note of any specific requirements in Hong Kong, to provide for service by post or other means.
Hours of business and excluded days
This clause will contain provisions based on the 1977 Act s. 120, suitably adapted to take note of any specific requirements in Hong Kong, to provide for the hours of business of the registry and for excluded days.
Rules
This clause will contain provision for the making of Rules to regulate the business of the registry including prescribing forms, regulating procedures requiring fees and matters relating to the application for or obtaining of a HK patent and a petty patent.
Extent of invention
This clause will contain provisions based on the 1977 Act s. 125, suitably adapted to take note of any specific requirements in Hong Kong, to provide for the extent of the invention.
129. Application of the Ordinance to the Crown
This clause will provide that the provisions of the proposed Patents Bill will apply to the Crown.
