The United
and its additional
Kingdom extended the Paris Convention Protocol to Hong Kong as from 22 March
1972. In order to implement the Convention and Protocol in
Hong Kong, the United Kingdom extended the relevant provisions of the 1965 Act to Hong Kong by means of the Nuclear Installations (Hong Kong) Order 1972.

Two further Orders in Council were subsequently made which amended the law applicable to Hong Kong in for carriage of nuclear material,
