Agreements between UK/HKSAR
BY FAX
In Brate I
Pu keep Miss Brodes It farmed
It is probable that I shall be in London in late February/early March for discussions at DTp on various civil aviation matters. I would very much like to take the opportunity of that visit to spend a little time with your people on agreements between UK/HKSAR,
I mentioned to you in my last letter on this subject (2 December 1992) that we would appreciate having your views on the tentative conclusions set out in my letter of 4 September 1992. I suggested that HKG teams might get together with appropriate UK Government officials to negotiate and initial the various agreements,
agreements, perhaps in the second half of this year. It seemed to me that that would be sensible way of using the time available to us in The present political climate. Maybe we could try to fix a timetable for discussions between those concerned.
I will be in touch again a little nearer the time when I have definite dates for my visit to London. But in the meantime we would appreciate having any further thoughts you might have on this, following our recent letters.
