HONG KONG: ADAPTATION OF LAWS
1. I refer to Mr Marshall's minute of 21 September attaching HKG's response to our comments on their latest batch of adaptation papers.
2. The only comment I have is that in Paper 3, para 4(C), concerning the Legitimacy ordinance, the new Note would be clearer if it referred to the 1981 amendment and the fact that that amendment does not appear in the current edition of the Laws of Hong Kong.
3. Otherwise, I consider HKG's responses and amendments to their papers satisfactory.
