ARTICLE 8
The Request and Supporting Documents
(1)
Requests for surrender and related documenta shall be made by and to the appropriate authorities of the
Parties as may be notified between them from time to time.
(2)
The request shall be accompanied by:
(a)
as accurate a description as possible of the
fugitive offender, together with any other
information which would help to establish
his identity, nationality and, if known, his
whereabouts;
(b) a statement and particulars of the offence
for which the surrender is requested;
(c)
the text of the legal provisions, if any,
creating the offence, a statement of the
punishment which can be imposed therefor
and, where applicable, specification of the
time limit
is imposed on
the
institution of proceedings or on the
enforcement. of any sentence in respect of
that offence.

If the request relates to an accused person, it
also be accompanied by a copy of the warrant of
issued by a judge, magistrate or other competent
authority of the requesting Party and by the evidence in
