The list of cxtraditable offences will probably be the most difficult matter to settle. It would be useful if We

could have some indication of your thinking in this regard before the meeting. The list in the Australia text would probably be closer to the UK's needs than the list in the model.

We will of course be able to include a no resurrender clause; such a clause appears in all four approved texts.

On a related matter I should be grateful for your advice

progress in relation to amendment of the Hong Kony (Legislative Fowers) Order 1966 (Telos 1275 & 2730 refer).

B. Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters

Attached is A copy of the model agreement which has been agreed with the Chinese side. There is obviously very little norm for movement here as by the time we meet will almost certainly not have conducted any negotiations or had any indication from the Chinese side as to what variations are acceptable.
