During the meetings, participants will normally receive their mail, messages and cables from the Conference reception desk. Mail may also be addressed to participants at their hotels.

Registration of participants and reception services

Participants are requested to register at the conference reception desk as from Friday 11 June 1993, from 9 am to 5 pm at the Concorde Hotel for ADCOM VII and as from Saturday 19 June 1993 from 9 am at the Shangri-La Hotel for MINEDAP VI. On registration, each participant will receive a set of conference documents, a name badge and other requisite material. Participants are requested to wear their name badges throughout the period of the meetings in order to facilitate identification and contacts with fellow participants and members of the Secretariat. The reception service will function from 8.30 am to 6.30 pm daily during the Conference.

Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony of MINEDAP VI will take place at the Shangri-La Hotel (Sabah room, basement II) on 21 June 1993. Participants are kindly requested to be in their seats by 9.45 am. There will be a short break before the first plenary meeting at which time the Conference will adopt its agenda (ED-93/MINEDAP/1) and elect its officers.

Organization of work

The proposed organization of work of ADCOM VII and MINEDAP VI will be considered by their respective Bureaux at their first meetings and submitted to plenary for approval.

Conference documents

The Conference documents will be sent to participants prior to the Conference. Additional copies will be available in Kuala Lumpur. The working and information documents for MINEDAP VI will be issued in Chinese, English, French and Russian. Reference documents will normally be available in the language in which they have been originally prepared.
