15. Section 4 (prohibition of uniforms in connection with political

objects) is repealed (clause 4) and section 2 is amended

consequentially to repeal the definition of "political organization"

(clause 3 (a)).

16. Section 33(6), which deals with the police power to stop and

search for offensive weapons, is amended to impose a requirement for

a reasonable belief as to the commission of an offence under section

18 or 19 (clause 12).

Section 36(1), which deals with the Governor's power to declare

a closed area, is amended to provide that the exercise of the power

be based on interests of security, public order or public health

(clause 13).

18. Section 49, which gives power to the armed forces and police to

require proof of identity, is amended to introduce a requirement for

a reasonable belief that the exercise of the power is necessary

(clause 17).

Clauses 10, 14, 15 and 16 repeal sections 17D, 43, 44 and 47

respectively.

20.

Section 4 (29) of the Summary Offences Ordinance (Cap. 228),

which prohibits the use of loudspeakers, etc. other than in

accordance with a permit issued by the Commissioner, is repealed

(clause 20), and section 6(a) of the principal Ordinance is amended

consequentially (clause 5).
