These proposals were agreed by
ExCo on 9.3.93 and are, we
believe, broadly acceptable to
LegCo and the JA.
Section 36

Section 36 should be deleted because the
Ordinance should be directed at
broadcasting material, and not at
individuals.
We will make proposals for the
repeal of this section.
Regulation 4 of Television
(Standards of Programmes)
Regulations
materials to be excluded
from broadcast
Regulation 4 should be deleted and
replaced with more liberal wording along
the lines of film censorship standards.
There should be no reference to
political censorship.
Regulation 4 is to be amended so
as to bring it into line with
the Film Censorship Ordinance.
