HKD Calendar of Future Events: Human Rights
Thank you for your letter of 4 May 1993.

ve calmaläû îul submitting the various human rights reports are based on a table entitled "Periodicity of Reporting to the UN under Legal Instruments" which was passed to us by the UND quite some time ago (copy attached for your ease of reference). We are not sure whether the dates remain valid; there are also two items for which dates cannot be ascertained from our side.
We should therefore be grateful if you could check/confirm the dates before putting them into the
calendar.
As HKG will need to know the exact dates for the submission of these reports, as well as any deadlines for the submission of drafts to you in advance, it would be most helpful if you could also let us know the results of your checking. Given the many reports falling due in 1994, we need to plan our work ahead.
You suggested in your letter that an item on our review of legislation in the light of the Bill of Rights could be included. However, that is an on-going review and we do not have a target completion date in summer 1993. Finally, you mentioned that the 1992 ICESCR report would be submitted in June/July 1993. Could we have a copy of this, please?
