I asked
Christine Lab to drop in to see me a couple
revarks to
of vecks ago co that I could explain some of the problems to
hcr (30 far 09 I WOR able, given the confidentiality provisions of the m).
She had been making some rather
unhelpful
the press about what we were doing (or
BOL doing) on the Covenants. We spent more than an hour
together and she expressed herself to be grateful and better
intormed.
But reading some subsequent remarks she has made
to the press, her performance in Legco in questioning the AG
and her Tecent letter to Mr Goodlad, I do not think 1 had
such effect!
there are other members of Legco who
Clearly
could do with a bit of education on these matters and I shall
try to single out some of the more middle of the road members
and talk to them carefully over the next few months.
