of the People's Republic of China

Committee of the Central People's Government at its 4th Meeting held on 2.12.1949
At its first meeting held on 9.10.1949, the First National Committee of the Chinese Consultative
People's Political Conference (CPPCC) "Requesting
adopted the proposal of Government to explicitly set the first of

October as the National Day of the People's Republic of China to replace
