: meeting in Moscow for the families of the KAL 007 victims.
At a meeting in early December 1992, representatives of Russia, the United States, South Korea and Japan agreed to request the International Civil Aviation Organization to complete its investigation of the KAL 007 incident and to arrange a subsequent meeting in January or February 1993 including representatives of victims' families to discuss issues such as compensation, disposition of remains and personal effects, construction of a memorial and memorial services. Background
At talks held in early December in Moscow, representatives of the Russian, U.S., South Korean and Japanese Governments met to discuss a neutral investigation of the KAL 007 incident and resolution of issues concerning the families of KAL 007 victims.
