Thank you for your assistance in arranging the scrutiny of the French text of the Hong Kong/Switzerland IPPA. Basing on FCO's suggestions, we have written to the Swiss side giving our comments on the French text. A copy of our letter to the Consul General of Switzerland is enclosed.
The Swiss have then come back with comments on our proposed amendments (please see the attached letter of 19.4.93 from the Consul General of Switzerland). I should be grateful if you could pass the letter from the CG of Switzerland to the Translation Branch and advise us whether the counter proposals or response in CG's letter are acceptable. In particular, we would need your advice on
para 3-9 and 13-14.
