1. We spoke about Hong Kong telno 1013 and you advised me to write to the DTI in the first instance. I wrote to Peter Britton in the Intellectual Property Directorate on 25 June (copy attached). I have now received the attached letter of 29 June from his colleague Judith Sullivan. It would appear that the matter is one for FCO Legal Advisers.

Please would you pursue the matter with Mr Whormersley. I shall be on leave from 30 June to 12 July inclusive, Nigel Whitney will be dealing with the matter in my absence, and would be grateful for your urgent advice.
