I understand that there is to be a meeting of the Committee of Experts on the Harmonisation of Laws for the Protection of Marks (6th session) from 29 November to 10 December 1993.
We would like to propose that Miss A C Waters and Miss Mamie Chan from the HK Intellectual Property Department should attend the meeting as part of the UR delegation. They only intend to participate for the period from 29 November to 3 December, which is supposed to be for substantive matters.
Officers from the Intellectual Property Department have been participating for years as members of the UK delegation in such meetings. This proposal is made so as to enable them to continue with their exposure
