INWARD GUESTS OF GOVERNMENT; MINISTERIAL CONFERENCES; MINISTERIAL/OFFICIAL MEETINGS AT CHEVENING AND OTHER MAJOR
FUNCTIONS
1.
I have to submit estimates in September for the financial year beginning 1 April 1994 and provide a forecast beyond 1994/95 for:
(a) Guest of Government visits by Heads of State, Heads of Government and Foreign Ministers (ie those involving GHF);
(b)
(c)
(d)
2.
Ministerial conferences in the United Kingdom;
Ministerial/official meetings at Chevening;
Other major functions (including Summits etc).
I should be grateful if you would complete the attached questionnaire. I realise long-term forecasts are difficult, but I need as much information as possible if I am to secure adequate funds. By the same token, it will be very difficult to find money for events which have not been included in the estimates. Your reply to the questionnaire should therefore include not only those visits and conferences which are already firm, or agreed in principle, but also any which are likely or possible.
3. I should be grateful if the attached forms could be completed as soon as possible and returned to Mrs Morrison in Inward Visits Section no later than Friday 3 September. returns are required.
