Thank you for your fax of 17 November and the actions you have taken.
Given developments on the talks front it has just been decided that I should not go to London for JLG XXVIII. Hugh Davies and Alan Paul are aware of this decision. In the circumstances, I wonder whether I can trouble you again first to inform Mr Goodlad's Office that after all I will not be able to attend his reception on 7 December and secondly pass this fax to Charles Garrett so that he knows that I will not be attending JLG XXVIII.
